- Schedule your SAT or ACT test
- Apply to the college(s) of your choice. We recommend that you apply to at least two eligible colleges. Be sure that you have fulfilled all the necessary requirements for your college application.
- Ask your Guidance Counselor or a teacher to fill out the Recommendation Form. If a teacher writes your recommendation, you must also obtain a Guidance Counselor's signature on you Recommendation Form.
- Request an official transcript from your high school.
- Complete and submit the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)
- Submit the complete scholarship application to the Peyton Anderson Foundation office. A complete application consists of the APplication Form with essays, the Recommendation Form signed by your Guidance Counselor, your high school transcript, your SAT or ACT scores (if not included on your transcript), the Student Aid Report (SAR) form your FAFSA, and a copy of the Acceptance Letter from one of the eligible colleges. Applications are due by April 1st.
- To renew your scholarship
- Download the Renewal Form from this web site, and return it to the Peyton Anderson Foundation office with a copy of your official transcript by JUNE 15
- Document at least 20 hours of community service (on-campus or off-campus) and return this documentation with you Renewal From
- If your cumulative GPA falls below a 3.0 for the academic year, phone or schedule an interview with the Foundation office. Scholarships cannot be automatically renewed for a student with a GPA below 3.0, but extenating circumstances will be considered.
